Sand Harbor Day Use Reservations

The Sand Harbor Nevada State Park is now accepting advance Day Use Reservations online for entry into the Sand Harbor Nevada State Park. Day-use reservations will be required for vehicle entry from park opening to 10:30am daily from April 15 to October 15. After 10:30am, the park will open to first come, first served as long as the park has not yet reached capacity. Entering the park via the East Shore Trail will not require reservations.

It is highly recommended to plan ahead and make advance reservations to enter the Sand Harbor Nevada State Park by visiting reservenevada.com and making a Day Use Reservation online. Guests who make a reservation are still advised to arrive early (between 8am and 9am) between Memorial Day and Labor Day for the best selection and overall experience.

Same Day Parking at Sand Harbor

The Sand Harbor Nevada State Park may permit same-day vehicle entry on a first come, first serve basis after 10:30am until capacity is reached. NOTE: It is very rare to obtain park entry this way between Memorial Day and Labor Day. If visiting the Sand Harbor Nevada State Park between Memorial Day and Labor Day, it is strongly advised to plan for alternative options. 
IMPORTANT: Walk-ins through the main gate and drop-offs via ride share (such as Uber, Lift and LakeLink) are not permitted. Do not attempt to walk-in along Hwy 28 to Sand Harbor or take a ride share to the Sand Harbor Nevada State Park.

3 Mile East Shore Trail

Guests who wish to visit the Sand Harbor Nevada State Park can park at Tunnel Creek Café in Incline Village, Nevada and enjoy a scenic 3-mile walk down the breathtaking East Shore Trail. Those willing to walk or bike this paved trail will have access to restrooms, benches and informative stops along the route to Sand Harbor.
Visitors hoping to enter the park by walking the East Shore Trail to Sand Harbor will be charged a $2.00 park entry fee per person. Only cash is accepted, and it is recommended to have the exact amount ready as they may not be able to make change at the gate. Additionally, pets are not permitted within park boundaries.
