Enjoy the crystal clear waters of Lake Tahoe with the performance of a recreational kayak! Our Clear Bottom Kayaks are designed with an entirely clear bottom which enables guests to explore up to 65 feet below the surface. With a narrower design, these vessels are much easier to paddle and are permitted to explore within a broader region than our completely clear kayaks. Our Clear Bottom Kayaks are equipped with bungee storage straps on the front and back for easy storage of belongings. Note: Our Clear Bottom Kayak is not a self-bailing vessel and therefore is not designed for choppy water conditions or long distances. While these vessels can be seated for 1–2 guests, space can be tight. We highly recommend single boats for oversize guests or tall participants who wish to have more legroom.

When to Visit

These vessels are suitable for the early morning when the water is calm and glassy. It is strongly advised to arrive early to obtain park entry. The Sand Harbor Nevada State Park does get busy and is subject to capacity closures very early in the morning June-September.

What to Wear

It is highly recommended that guests wear light layers and shoes that can be removed easily. Guests should be prepared for the possibility of getting wet and should dress accordingly. Hats, sunscreen and sunglasses are highly recommended.

Age Limitations

Age and weight restrictions do apply. All participants must be over the age of 5+ (no exceptions). Guests must be 12 years or older to paddle in their own rental vessel. Guests 5-11 must be accompanied by an adult 18+. All participants under the age of 18 must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian at all times.

Capacity Limitations

There is a combined weight limitation for each vessel. 2 guests, Maximum Weight Capacity 375lbs.
